October in Review – No Photo Edition

I know …  what kind of post is it without photos?

Well our PC took a dive and died and it has all my layout scans and photos.  Took the PC to the doc and he suggested it is too old to repair….10 years is  pretty good for a PC.  So we ordered a new one and the doc will transfer our old stuff to the new one.  Yeah.

Meanwhile, my camera card is full of wonderful  October memories………..

October 1

Nathan went with his middle school band to Busch Gardens for the day.  He rode roller coasters for the frist time and loved them!  He even loved  the upside down roller coasters.

We took Andrew to Frankie’s Fun Park.  He got to drive the go-karts for the first time.   Yeah for being tall enough now.  Wait til  you see these pics!  He also rode this roundy-round Side Winder.  Yuckola!  Wait til you see these pics!

October 7-9

My dad and Janice came to visit from Florida for the weekend.  It was so nice to spend time with them.  The boys just love love love spending time with their grandparents.  Wait til you see these pics!October 14-16

We went fall camping at Lake Reidsville (in Reidsville, NC).  We met some wonderfully nice people.  Andrew fished.  We went to the downtown local festival and checked out the huge car show.  We had a nice fire.  And we hung out with the wonderfully nice people.  Wait til you see these pics!

October 21-23

We took the trailer up to Fancy Gap, VA which is just above Mount Airy, NC (home of Andy Griffin).  We love this campground in the fall.  It’s in the mountains right next to the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Love it!  We had campfires.  We walked a fun trail to Devil’s Den to check out the caves.  We left the trailer at the KOA for the week.  Wait til you see these pics!

October 28-30

We went back to Fancy Gap.  But this time it was so so so too cold.  It was actually sleeting Saturday morning.  We enjoyed the campground’s Halloween activities….decorating pumpkins, scavenger hunt, and trick or treating in the campground.  Saturday night it was too cold for a fire, so we rented Zookeeper from Redbox; what a great movie!!!!!!!  Sunday we packed up and drove home.  Wait til you see these pics!

October 31

Halloween!  After school/work, it was raining like crazy.  I thought for sure, trick or treating would be canceled.  But the rain let up just long enough for the Rock n Roll boy and the Ninja to go trick or treating.  Wait til you see these pics!

In between all of that excitement was work, school, tae kwon do, arrival of our new couch (Wait til you see these pics!), walking the dog, church, and a little bit of scrapping.

Just….Wait til you see these pics!
